ConnectPoint Search Group is looking for an experienced Cost Accounting Manager for a direct hire opportunity. Our client organization is a global industry leader with a strong presence in the marketplace. As a senior accounting professional, the Cost Accounting Manager will manage a small staff and support the organization with all cost accounting needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow within the company and the industry, will have a high level of integrity and professionalism, and will have excellent problem-solving, communication, customer service and leadership skills.
The essential functions of this position including the following:
- Compile cost estimates and reports for all products
- Report, analyze and reconcile variances
- Prepare monthly balance sheets, P&L account reconciliations, monthly cost accounting reports and period end analyses
- Maintains and reconciles detailed inventory and materials list
- Assist with year end audit
- Oversee all changes to multiple financial systems
- Assist with annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Some travel is required
The Cost Accounting Manager will have the following Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting required; MBA preferred
- MBA or CPA preferred
- BIG 4 public accounting experience highly desired
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing cost environment with total minimum of 7 years accounting experience
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
- Experience or ability to manage and mentor others in a team oriented environment
- Experience with standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory valuations and trend analysis
- Effective communication with the ability present results to Senior Level Management
- Proficiency with a Large ERP System
Compensation
- Annual Salary $110-120K
- This position is bonus eligible
- An excellent benefits package is available as well
